TOWN, hailing from Tullinge, south Stockholm, Sweden, was founded in 2017 by the talented Elmquist brothers: Eric, who wields his guitar, and Axel, the charismatic voice of the group. In 2021, the band welcomed their childhood friend, Daniel Karlsson, as the bassist, transforming them into a trio. However, the first half of 2023 marked a pivotal moment in their journey as they expanded their lineup with the addition of keyboardist Promise Udeji and drummer Erik Bautista.
TOWN draws its primary inspiration from the vibrant English pop/rock scene, taking cues from legendary acts like Oasis, The Cure, The Smiths, Coldplay, and Depeche Mode. Their ambition is to meld these diverse influences into a uniquely distinctive sound that is unmistakably their own. They are dedicated to crafting modern indie pop music, where synths occasionally take the spotlight, all while preserving that unmistakable rock energy.
